This is a blog for followers of John & Beth Shaw as they attempted to sail a 34' 1995 Gemini 3400 from Savannah, GA to the Bahama's, the Caribbean, and other exotic locations. Sailing concluded in 2011 after an extended trip to Mexico and back. Now the blog is for our adventures "at home" until we set out again in our RV. The blog is linked from bethandjohn.com

May 11
The mail came and I had a few things that needed addressing. Beth chose to work on the stern netting in the morning. The Admiral ( Beth ) decided we would stay at the lovely Harbortown Marina another day before proceeding. I worked on the vent line for the port water tank which was an easy fix as it just had a kink in it. Checked out the motor and all is well with that. Overall it is a pretty easy day and we will head out down the intracostal in the morning as the forecast calls for southerly winds until Friday or Saturday.
